Pro Tools Operator & Sound Designer

As a film and TV Sound Engineer I have worked as a microphone operator, boom operator, and in 1 TV show, 3 feature films and more than 100 short films.  As a post-producer I master in recording, editing, mixing and mastering of all kinds of broadcast productions, cinema, TV, advertising, music and theater. I am certified as a Pro Tools Operator from the first generation and I am a specialist in post-production, sound design and  Mix. Since 2012 I have been  experimenting with all kind of  immersive sounds such as: Atmos, 360º Sfear,  Binaural and I have become a great professional. After having worked in all sound fields and having learned of the best ones, my passion is the Sound design.

For this production the sound design was a challenge as on the one hand it had been shot in very noisy locations that we could not take advantage of anything but the dialogues after cleaning them to the maximum and on the other hand had to create different spaces within the 2 parts that divide the film. The atmospheres of the factory, should be a heavy environment, synthetic oppressor where the vda is worth nothing with its different spaces differentiated according to the personality of each character and on the other hand the part of the escape, all shot in nature that it had to transmit the death in life of the personages, where nothing could be heard, neither inscts nor birds, nothing. A challenge of language and sound. On the other hand there is a parallel conversation to the dialogues that takes place in the heads of the characters without time or place that should have a sound that came out of reality

A fugitive film director in exile named H returns to the industrial city from which he fled in the past, in an unknown time and place. You can stay on condition of accepting the general rules: any wish is unimportant, any memory is unnecessary. GLORIA, the working woman he left behind and loved, lives in routine. But H, unable to adapt, will convince her to flee together to a place that no one remembers: the outside of civilization. Not knowing what they will be exposed to, they will start this flight forward without the possibility of return, where the sacrifice of their own lives is the end of those who remain faithful to their ideals in a world that despises freedom.

The foley artist’s work for this production was quite a challenge since it did not serve any direct sound and it wanted to transmit an atmosphere of hyperreality in which everything had to sound natural. Footsteps of the pigs, of the dogs, of Horacio’s, and overall, all the sounds that had not been picked up at the locations.

MAN ON THE PLAIN Original title: Man on the Plain Direction: Patricio Suarez Year: 2018 Duration: 76 ′ Country: Spain, Argentina Original language: Spanish Ravaged by monocultures and the growing depopulation, the few inhabitants that remain in the Argentine pampas subsist isolated and in solitude. Horacio Deluca, 73, returned to the countryside after a wandering life and is now alone, without a family, taking care of his small and precarious farm. He spends his days between hard work, the company of his dogs and the vastness of the pampa, a hazy and hungry pampa that he explores with a mixture of fascination and grief.

Short Film – Apicalypse

For this production I created a futuristic and realistic sound design in which the bees had to play a leading role. Lots of fx design and an immersive 5.1 mix.

In the year 2026, the bees have practically become extinct. The corporation that owns the patent for Beebot pollinating drones controls human food. Their control reaches the upper echelons, and allows a wider freedom of action to its private security services. Tyr, Odin and Melissa are part of a clandestine organization that tries to raise resistant bees. Its goal is to reintroduce bees into nature, and thus reactivate the natural cycle of the planet.
